Continuous variables were compared using linear regression models adjusted for familial history of type 2 DM, parity, and prepregnancy BMI (when appropriate). Post-hoc statistical power calculations were performed using G*Power software 3.1, entering partial -squared obtained with regression for each trait. FPG: fasting plasma glucose; PCOS: polycystic ovary syndrome. All variables have been log-transformed to better approximate a normal distribution.
