Reconciliating the Vertical and Horizontal Gradients of the Sunspot Magnetic Field

Table 2

Some parameters in the solar quiet photosphere from the VAL C atmosphere model (continued): height above the level, temperature , small scale velocity of the particles in the VAL C model, collision frequency between neutral hydrogen atoms , Reynolds number , Brunt-Väisälä frequency , horizontal and vertical Froude numbers and , the number introduced by [42], inverse of the theoretical aspect ratio to be compared to the observed one , inverse of the theoretical aspect ratio for velocities , magnetic Prandtl number , and plasma computed with a magnetic field of 1000 G, typical of sunspot umbra and penumbra.
