Assessment of cytotoxicity/safety of VASE-created devices. Experimental setup matched that of Figure 5. Thirty hours after infection, media was removed and cells were subjected to an MTT assay. Cell viability was determined by normalization against noninfected, nontreated controls. Data shown are mean ± standard deviation for experiment conducted in triplicate wells. Significance was confirmed using ANOVA and a Tukey post hoc test.
