Relationships of the orders of crown Eutheria as revealed by molecular phylogenetics [76], derived and modified from [71]. The newly established higher-level clades are Xenarthra (in black), Afrotheria (in blue), Laurasiatheria (in green), and Euarchontoglires (in red). Here Xenarthra is regarded as most basal split of the group. Alternatives resulted in a sister group relationship of Afrotheria and Xenarthra or a basal position of Afrotheria.
