Biochemical and biomechanical characterization of implanted and control constructs after 30 or 60 days. Implanted in vivo constructs accumulated more DNA per wet weight (a) and less sGAG per DNA (b) than the in vitro control constructs. The aggregate modulus (HA0) was also greater for implanted constructs when compared with the in vitro control constructs (c).
