Zero of the energy scale corresponds to OH(g) and the respective metal slab at infinite separation from each other. Pt_ML/Pd/PdIr₂/Pd represents the synthesized annealed catalyst (Pt_MLPdIr) whereas Pt_ML/PdIr₂/Pd would be the expected catalyst without annealing (Pt_MLIrPd). The BE of OH on other relevant model systems is provided for comparison [58].
