The strong vibration band around 1465 cm−1 is splitted in two bands and can be assigned to CH2 scissoring vibration bands. The 1349 cm−1 peak is related to the EO methylene wagging vibrations of the gauche conformation. The strong band around 1080 cm−1 can be assigned to the C–O–C stretching hydrated bond.
