Growth of Halobacterium salinarum NRC-1 wild-type and GV deficient strains. Halobacterium salinarum NRC-1 wild-type and GV deficient strains were grown in triplicate as described in Materials and Methods. Growth was measured by light scattering at 600 nm (filled shapes) and by counting colony forming units using the spread plate technique (open shapes).
