Self to self-hybridization assessment. A series of four self to self-hybridizations were conducted to assess the performance of the array CGH platform to determine the number of consecutive probes that are needed to have high confidence in a true call. From these experiments, it was determined that high confidence is attained in calls in which at least six consecutive probes significantly deviate from the expected 1 : 1 molar ratio. As a result, resolution of this platform is approximately 16 kb.
