TET2 Inhibits Differentiation of Embryonic Stem Cells but Does Not Overcome Methylation-Induced Gene Silencing

Stable transfection of murine ES cells with a pCDNA-TET2 plasmid vector leads to slight increased immunostaining for C. Stably transfected E14 murine ES cells were grown to confluency and analysed by immunocytochemistry for C, TET2, and 4′,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) as a nuclear-identifying control. Empty vector (EV) stable transfect cells are shown in (a) and TET2 stable transfect cells are shown in (b).
