As the area under the curve (AUC) for the MutPred method predictions is larger than the areas over the curve (AOC) which corresponds to the PolyPhen2 predictions curve, we can confirm that MutPred outperforms PolyPhen2 in predicting the outcome of nsSNPs. The dataset used for the performance comparison was obtained from Varibench as stated in Methods section.
