Room-temperature self-assembly of EX30C peptide in aqueous solution into elastin-like fibers examined by TEM. Sample was negatively stained by 1% uranyl acetate solution. In (a), bundles of highly aligned fibers are observed, while, in (b), the fibers evolved into banded fibers orthogonal to the fiber length.
