Conference of the International Clinical Hyperthermia Society 2012

Description

12-14 October 2012
Budapest, Hungary

Aims and Scope

For more than 30 years, the International Clinical Hyperthermia Society (ICHS) organized and supported physicians who were working on the heat therapies, an ancient treatment of various diseases, but mainly concentrating on the malignant diseases. Despite that hyperthermia is historically the very first treatment in oncology, it is not a widely accepted method among cancer specialists. The reason is the apparently simple but in reality very complicated deep-heating technologies, understanding their effects that raise debates in oncology.

Conference of the International Clinical Hyperthermia Society 2012 (ICHS) http://www.ichs-conference.org/ focuses on presenting new results of hyperthermia from the laboratory to the clinical bed. The conference expects a wide range of presentations and deep discussions on various aspects of clinical hyperthermia, as well as making a consensus on open questions of the treatments.

The conference also highlights hot topics, such as thermal effects and their immune reactions and the newest clinical results in the most frequent oncological morbidities like lung, breast, and liver tumors, as well as results in tumors of sensitive organs and areas, like brain and head-neck, and the malignancies whose cure results had only minor development, like pancreas.

The conference provides an opportunity for oncologists from over 25 nations to present their best results and discuss their—many times contradictory—experiences. Moreover, it includes discussions of the starting clinical trials in Australia, Korea, South Africa, and Japan, which can form new cooperations and partnerships in this very important clinical research.

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/cpis/medicine/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/cpis/medicine/oncology/ichs/ according to the following timetable:
