Minocycline and tetracycline decrease apoptosis after hemorrhage and resuscitation. H/R was performed, as described in Figure 1. Apoptosis of parenchymal cells was assessed by TUNEL in nonnecrotic areas at 6 h after sham operation or resuscitation with vehicle, minocycline, or tetracycline.
