Supplementary Material

The four Baikalian sponges of the family Lubomirskiidae were studied for molecular identification of 16S rRNA and ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase large subunit (rbcL) genes. Clone library screening was performed for analysis of gene diversity. Chlorophyll A concentration was measured after 96% ethanol extraction from fresh frozen samples in two replicates
