Bird species richness measured at the per-point scale increased with increasing exurbanization. The number of bird species detected during 5 minute point counts was higher at points that had higher proportions of impervious cover around them (linear regression: 𝑃 =.010, 𝑅² = 0.22, df = 1,27).
