Abundance of birds increased with increasing exurbanization. The number of individual birds (regardless of species) detected during 5 minute point counts was higher at points that had higher proportions of impervious cover around them (linear regression, 𝑃 =.0003, 𝑅² = 0.38, df = 1,27).
