Supplementary Material

The supplementary material shows the excitation and emission spectra of 3T3-L1 pre-adipocytes and lipid-laden adipocytes stained with only 2-NBDG (Supplementary Figure 1) or with only Nile red (Supplementary Figure 2). The fluorescence intensities are relative to the global maximum for each panel. Cells were cultured and stained as per the Materials and Methods.
