Substitution Effects of C-C Triple Bonds on Deactivation Processes from the Fluorescent State of Pyrene Studied by Emission and Transient Absorption Measurements
Figure 1
Absorption (black) and fluorescence (blue) spectra of pyrene (a), BuEPy (b), TMSEPy (c), and TMSBPy (d) in cyclohexane at 295 K and phosphorescence spectra (red) of pyrene (a) and BuEPy (b) in a mixture of methylcyclohexane and isopentane (3 : 1 v/v) at 77 K. Phosphorescence from TMSEPy and TMSBPy was not observed. The duplicated absorption spectra for pyrene and TMSEPy are magnified for clear view of the vibrational structures.
