Trends of oleic acid conversion into ethyl oleate in presence or absence of SnCl2 catalyst [8]. Reaction conditions: ethyl alcohol (120.0 mmol), oleic acid (1.0 mmol), SnCl2·2H2O. (0.10 mmol), temperature (75°C), and oleic acid conversion was determined by titration against KOH solution (0.010 mol·L−1).
