Drop size densities for a rain rate of 2 to 5 mm h⁻¹ (a) and 5 to 10 mm h⁻¹ (b) averaged over different wind speed intervals. Measurements took place on R/V Alkor, and drop size densities are normalized with rain rate and width of the size intervals (0.0496 mm) of the optical disdrometer.
