Relationships between the localization of the most effectively stimulated contacts and the UPDRS motor score of items 20 and 21 as tremor. Each case demonstrated the improvement in tremor on one side by deep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus, zona incerta, or field of Forel H on the contralateral side. The preoperative tremor scores in the cases stimulated at the zona incerta are higher than in the cases that were stimulated at the field of Forel H or subthalamic nucleus.
