Target muscles and their main functions. On the flexion side of the forearm, there are certain muscles that relate to finger flexion. Note particularly that the muscles of the thumb are different from those of the other fingers so electrodes 1 and 2 specifically target the flexor pollicis longus to obtain information about the thumb.
