Calculated equilibrium phase diagram of Al–Mg2Si pseudobinary section. The pseudoeutectic point is at Al–13.9 wt.% Mg2Si, the temperature range of the ternary region at this composition is between 594 and 583.5°C, and the solubility of Mg2Si in Al at 583.5°C is 1.91 wt.% [2, 5, 6].
