Nanosized Zinc Oxide Induces Toxicity in Human Lung Cells

Concentration-dependent toxicity of ZnO-NPs in L-132 cells. Cells were exposed to different concentrations of ZnO-NPs particles for 24 h, and the viability was determined by MTT assay. Control cells cultured in particle-free medium were run in parallel to the exposed groups. Values were the mean ± SD from three independent experiments. Significance was indicated by versus control.
