A Study of the Initial Stages of Co Deposition on a Silver Electrode in Ammonia Medium Using an Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance

A comparison of two cyclic voltammetric curves obtained in the Ag/x M Co(II)+1 M (NH4)2SO4 (pH 9.3) system at two different Co(II) concentrations, (a) x = 0 and (b) x = 1 mM. The scan potential rate was of 5 mV s−1, and the potential interval was −100 mV and −990 mV. In the inset an amplification of the region comprising the peak of the alleged underpotential deposition is shown.
