Differentiation of Human Dermal Mesenchymal Stem Cells into Cardiomyocytes by Treatment with 5-Azacytidine: Concept for Regenerative Therapy in Myocardial Infarction

<table>Gel electrophoresis analysis of cardiac specific genes of experiment set 1 shows that 5-azacytidine treated (10 <i>μ</i>M and 20 <i>μ</i>M) hDMSCs were positive for <i>α</i>-cardiac actin, <i>β</i>-myosin heavy chain, and cardiac troponin T, whereas untreated cells were positive for <i>α</i>-cardiac actin and negative for <i>β</i>-myosin heavy chain, and cardiac troponin T.</table>
