Values are expressed as mean ± SEM. At 𝑃<0.05, results were found to be significantly different from control group. NC: normal control, HC: hyperlipidemic control, LOVA: lovastatin, HAPE: hydroalcoholic extract of P. emodi, and AQPE: aqueous extract of P. emodi.
SOD is expressed as U/mg of protein while GPx is expressed as 𝜇g of GSH utilized/min/mg protein.
