The level of serum free fatty acid was significantly () higher in diabetic rats as compared to normal rats. Oral administration of CE doses 25, 50, and 100 mg/kg body weight and subcutaneous injection of insulin significantly (, ) lowered the serum free fatty acid as compared to untreated diabetic rats.
