Duchenne muscular dystrophy: progressive course of scoliosis and respiratory compromise. Data of the same DMD boy of Figure 1. His forced vital capacity (FVC) increased up to the age of 12 years then rapidly declined. A scoliotic curve started at the age of 10° years and continued to worsen in spite of spinal bracing.
