Chromatogram to determine the concentration of lauric acid linked to PLL after acidolysis. The internal standard solution was capric acid (C10H20O2). Using a semicapillary column, the solutes were separated according to the chain-length of the fatty acids. The retention time is proportional to the chain-length of the fatty acids.
