The Distorted-Wave Born Approach for Calculating Electron-Impact Ionization of Molecules

Theoretical and experimental FDCS for electron-impact ionization of the orbital of formic acid as a function of the ejected electron scattering angle. The incident electron energy was 831.6 eV, the fixed scattered projectile angle was 20.5 , and the ejected electron energy was 105 eV. The experiment results (circle) are compared to M3DW calculations (solid line) and PWIA calculations (dashed line).
