On the Relationship between Pollen Size and Genome Size

The slope was estimated using conventional least-squares methods that do not incorporate the correlated error structure due to phylogeny. (b) Independent contrast results showing that divergences in 1C DNA content are not associated with divergences in pollen width (open and black points). This result was consistent when isolating the results to just bifurcating sister tip taxa (black points). The unfilled points represent deeper nodes. A line is not shown because the relationship was not significant.
