Another comparison of different models for the growth of a spherical crystal (solid lines) with the analytic result (dashed line). The analytic calculation used 𝜎_∞=0.01 and 𝑟_out=∞. The models used 𝐴_speed=0.2 and 𝑟_out=43.5𝜇m, with 𝜎_out=0.01 (top curve), 0.007 (middle), and 0.004 (lower). This shows that one can adjust 𝜎_out in the model to approximately compensate for systematic modeling errors.
