Tertiary stratigraphic systems in the Tibetan Plateau. Explanation: 1: conglomerate and sandstone; 2: sandstone; 3: shale; 4: mudstone and muddy siltstone; 5: marl; 6: dolomite and dolomitic limestone; 7: limestone; 8: breccia limestone; 9: Island-arc-type volcanic rocks; 10: unconformity; WLG: Wudaoliang Group [10]. The Zongzuo and Jiachala Formations are dominated by marine deposits [1], and the other Formations are terrestrial deposits. Geological time scale is that recommended by China National Committee of Stratigraphy (2002).
