The effects of the fresh and dry L. francisci acetone extracts on the growth of Candida albicans and Candida krusei. Growth of C. albicans and C. krusei at the tested concentrations was compared to the growth of the untreated cells. The fresh extract was more effective against C. albicans than the dry extract. The fresh extract reduced the growth of C. krusei while the dry extract encouraged the growth of C. krusei. At 1 mg/mL, the fresh extract reduced the growth of C. krusei by 37%, while the dry extract increased growth of C. krusei by 100%. . .
