A Preliminary Investigation of Ductility-Enhancement Mechanism through In Situ Nanofibrillation in Thermoplastic Matrix Composites
Quasistatic tensile stress-strain curves obtained at room temperature for tensile specimens injection molded at nominal shear rates of 28 s−1, 70 s−1, and 112 s−1. The specimens processed at 70 s−1 and 112 s−1 failed prematurely owing to the presence of process-induced macroscopic void defects.
