Novel Gas Barrier SiOC Coating to PET Bottles through a Hot Wire CVD Method

Schematic structure of coating device used in this study. Inside a bottle placed in a vacuum chamber, hot filaments connected to a power supply were fixed along a gas supply pipe connected to a material gas container. (A) Supplied material gas is decomposed in contact with hot wire and (B) the decomposed molecules form a thin film on the inner surface of PET bottles.
