Abstract

An evening panel discussion on magnetic units, attended by 150 participants, was held at the 1994 Joint MMM–Intermag Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. The session was organized by C.D. Graham, Jr., and moderated by R.B. Goldfarb. The panel members were asked to describe the use of magnetic units in their countries, and to make appropriate comments and recommendations. In addition to units, several panelists talked about distinction between magnetic induction B and magnetic field strength H, and the conversion of equations. After the panelists' opening statements, the floor was opened for questions and discussion from the audience. Below are the panelists' summaries of their remarks.
