Human Chondrosarcoma Cells Acquire an Epithelial-Like Gene Expression Pattern via an Epigenetic Switch: Evidence for Mesenchymal-Epithelial Transition during Sarcomagenesis

<table>Chondrosarcoma cells expression of <i>maspin</i> and <i>14-3-3<i>σ</i></i> proteins. Western blot analysis for maspin and <i>14-3-3<i>σ</i></i>. Lane 1 is the SNM83 chondrocyte cell line which shows no protein expression for either maspin or <i>14-3-3<i>σ</i></i>, and in lane 2 the NH69 chondrosarcoma cell line shows a robust induction of both proteins. These are consistent with real-time PCR results of mRNA expression. Beta-actin was used as the loading control.</table>
