Advanced Devices & Instrumentation becomes the latest title to join the Science Partner Journal program.

Following the great success of other journals launched as part of our partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) we are pleased to let you know that Advanced Devices & Instrumentation will be the latest title to join the Science Partner Journal program. This journal will be published in collaboration with Beijing Institute of Aerospace Control Devices (BIACD) and will join the following titles in our Science partner Journal program:

●      Research

●      Plant Phenomics

●      BME Frontiers

●      BioDesign Research

The mission of Advanced Devices & Instrumentation is to promote high impact breakthroughs and application advances at all levels of electronics and photonics including device, system, and instrumentation with a goal of integration for functionalities. The journal aims to publish original research and review articles for rapid dissemination. The scope will cover the latest investigations on novel ideas, methods, and techniques for the development and manufacture of advanced devices and instrumentation, as well as novel and practical solutions for existing applications.

The Editorial Board, led by Chief Editor Wei Wang (China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation) and Co Chief Editor Daping Chu (University of Cambridge) is comprised of experts in the field who have made significant and well recognized contributions to the field of electronics and photonics.

Advanced Devices & Instrumentation is the fifth title to join the Science Partner Journal program, publishing high-quality, online-only, open-access original research, reviews, editorials and perspectives.  All articles are published in the journal using a Creative Commons attribution license (CC-BY 4.0).

The partnership between AAAS and Hindawi, announced in 2017, has been a great success, allowing new open access titles to be launched quickly and to a high standard, powered by Hindawi’s technology. The relationship has been a collaborative and iterative one, evolving to meet the changing needs of the program. We now look forward to continuing this success and working to help Advanced Devices & Instrumentation meet their goals in 2020 and beyond.

Richard Bennett, Chief Commercial Officer at Hindawi, said “Advanced Devices & Instrumentation is an exciting addition to the SPJ program publishing research from the electronics and photonics fields. The continued expansion of the SPJ program illustrates the demand for collaborations between research institutions and publishers to offer new venues for research. We value the role that Hindawi plays in developing these journals and look forward to working with AAAS on this and future launches”

Bill Moran, Publisher of the Science Family of Journals at AAAS, stated “We are very excited to be expanding the Science Partner Journal program with a new partner, Beijing Institute of Aerospace Control Devices (BIACD), and a new title. We are looking forward to seeing the contributions that Advanced Devices & Instrumentation will make to the field of electronics and photonics and we’re delighted to continue growing the program and our collaborations with prestigious international associations and companies like Hindawi and Beijing Institute of Aerospace Control Devices (BIACD).”
