Analysis of Chloramphenicol and Its Related Compound 2-Amino-1-(4-nitrophenyl)propane-1,3-diol by Reversed-Phase High-Performance Liquid Chromatography with UV Detection

Figure 4

Chromatogram of chloramphenicol in eye drops (0.1 mg/mL of chloramphenicol). Analytes, (1): 2-amino-1-(4-nitrophenyl)propane-1,3-diol, (2): chloramphenicol. Other experimental conditions are the same as in Figure 2. Peak asymmetry and theoretical plates of 2-amino-1-(4-nitrophenyl)propane-1,3-diol are 1.38 and 3373, respectively. Peak asymmetry, theoretical plates, and resolution of chloramphenicol are 1.24, 5514, and 10.2, respectively.
