A relationship for coefficient 𝛽 M v X and the coordination number (CN) of the cations in the sulfate, carbonate, oxide, and hydroxide structural solid phases. The CN for cations in sulfate, carbonate, oxide, hydroxide, perovskite, and pyrochlore families is 9.0, 7.1, 7.0, 6.0, 12.0, and 8.0 respectively.
