Searching for Neutrinoless Double-Beta Decay of ¹³⁰Te with CUORE

CUORE-0 background spectrum in the ROI, with a salted peak at the -value for decay of ¹³⁰Te. The solid red line shows the result of an unbinned maximum-likelihood fit to the full spectrum, while the dotted blue line indicates the fit’s background component, consisting of the ⁶⁰Co peak and a uniform continuum. The fit value for the continuum background is 0.071 ± 0.011 counts/keV/kg/y (from [24]).
