The model suggested that the following risk factors are associated with an increased probability of having a normal LAVi with 6-month interval and 1-year interval between baseline and follow-up TTEs: younger age, white race, being on ACE-I therapy, smaller LVEDVi, longer DT, and higher E-to-A ratio. The model predicted an area under the curve of 0.95 for the 6-month interval and 0.94 for the 1-year interval. ACE-I, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor; LVEDVi, indexed left ventricular end-diastolic volume; DT, deceleration time; E-to-A ratio, early-to-late mitral inflow velocity ratio; LAVi, indexed left atrial volume.
