Left Ventricular End-Systolic Volume Is a Reliable Predictor of New-Onset Heart Failure with Preserved Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction

Figure 3

ROC curve of LVESVI for cardiovascular death or hospitalization for new-onset heart failure in patients with preserved LVEF. An optimal cutoff value of LVESVI was indicated by an arrow. LVESVI of 24.1 ml/m2 showed 79.2% sensitivity and 62.5% specificity (AUC: 0.729, ). The comparison of the event-free survival curves revealed that the patients with LVESVI > 24.1 ml/m2 (in red) had a worse event-free survival compared to those with LVESVI ≤ 24.1 ml/m2 (in blue) (log-rank test, ).
