Stellar Populations and the Star Formation Histories of LSB Galaxies—Part I: Optical and Hα Imaging

The red symbols are the combined samples of Van Zee, Hunter and Elmegreen (there was no statisical difference between those two samples). The eight galaxies in common with Hunter and Elmegreen are shown as solid symbols (connected for their differing H values). The LSB galaxies are about 0.5 log (H ) fainter per stellar mass than the dwarf irregular samples, and there is no indication this is due to improper H fluxes.
