4000 Å break amplitudes for absorption (abss), and emission (em) galaxies and equivalent width of H𝛿 for absorption galaxies. The errors are those in the index measurements. The S/N ratios are those of the combined spectra measured in the wavelength range 4050–4250 Å. The magnitude cutoff is 𝑀_𝑅=−18.8 for all the redshift bins, but is affected by Malmquist bias.
