New Trends on Fractional and Functional Differential Equations

Description

In recent past, there has been a remarkable development in the areas of fractional and functional differential equations and their applications. Approximate solutions of fractional calculus problems continue to be a major research area with widespread applications in mathematical physics, scientific computing, and the life sciences. Many physical phenomena are modeled by fractional and functional differential equations. Much progress has been made by implementing several numerical methods to approximate the solutions of fractional and functional differential equations, since most fractional and functional differential equations have no exact solutions.

This special issue comprises state-of-the-art articles from almost all the leading workers in these important and rapidly developing areas, making it a necessary resource for all researchers interested in theoretical analysis and numerical solutions of fractional and functional differential equations or related subjects. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Initial value problems
  • Boundary value problems
  • Ordinary and partial differential equations
  • Functional differential equations
  • Fractional differential equations
  • Numerical algorithms and computational aspects
  • Applications to real world phenomena
