Differences in Nanostructure and Hydrophobicity of Cicada (Cryptotympana atrata) Forewing Surface with the Distribution of Precipitation

Table 2

A statistical analysis of structure parameters and contact angle (CA) of the Cryptotympana atrata cicada with the average monthly and annual precipitation rates from the year 1950 to 2000 of the various cicada distributions. Structure parameters include basal diameter (d), basal spacing (s), and height (h) of protrusions on the wing surfaces. The year refers to the specific year of sample collection. R: correlation coefficient; P: significant level; and : the significant correlation.
